An 11-year-old Scots girl missing since Sunday night has been traced safe and well after a major multi-agency search.
Kaitlyn Easson, reported missing from Galashiels, was last seen around 5.30pm on Sunday February 5, in the town centre after leaving a friend's house.
An unconfirmed second sighting of Kaitlyn was then reported on Melrose Road at about 5.45pm on the same day.
A major multi-agency search was launched when the youngster did not return home, with mountain rescue and coastguard teams joining the efforts while the local community organised search parties.
Officers carried out extensive enquiries after she was reported missing to police at 8.15pm on Sunday night.
Police Scotland have now confirmed that Kaitlyn has been traced safe and well this evening.
They said: "We can confirm Kaitlyn Easson reported missing from Galashiels has been traced safe and well. Thank you to all who shared our appeals."
