A missing hillwalker suffering from hypothermia and another who had a broken leg were found by mountain rescue teams in Kelso on Thursday.
The Border Search and Rescue were alerted to two walkers who were over due on their return from hills in Kelso.
Teams searched the hills surrounding Heatherhope Reservoir, which was the last known location of the walkers.
The first missing hillwalker was found in Cribbs Hope gulley and hypothermia had set in.
The second had fallen and sustained a broken leg on a crag at Scowther Knowe.
The huge exercise by Border Search and Rescue involved administering first aid, navigating steep ground while also carrying stretchers.
