Missing Falkirk man last seen boarding train may have travelled to Edinburgh

A man who vanished after boarding a train from from Falkirk may have travelled to Edinburgh, police say.

Thomas Webster was last seen alighting a train bound for the capital at Grahamston train station at around 5.50pm on Saturday, February 4.

The 54-year-old's disappearance has been described as "out of character" by loved ones and has now prompted a frantic search as worries mount for his wellbeing.

Thomas is described as 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair, stubble, and bushy eyebrows. He was last spotted wearing a grey jacket, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and carrying a black rucksack.

Officers have asked the public to assist them in their ongoing enquiries to trace him. Anyone with any insight as to where Thomas might be is being urged to contact Police Scotland immediately.

Sergeant Lesley Rennie said: “Concerns are growing for Thomas who has links in the Edinburgh area and we are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch. According to Thomas’ family it is out of character for him not to be in touch and we need to make sure he is safe and well.”

Anyone who can assist or has seen Thomas is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3066 of Saturday, February 4, 2023.
