The worried mother of a missing teenager from Croydon has made an emotional appeal.

It has been a week since Sydnee, who is 17 and from Croydon, went missing on Tuesday January 18 and she has not been in contact with her family which is very out of character.

Her mother said she just needs to know her daughter is OK as she made her appeal via the police.

She said: “I’m appealing to anyone with information to please come forward. Sydnee has been missing for a week and we need to know she’s ok.

“If any of her friends, or anyone that knows where she is or who she may be with, please contact us or the police. No matter how small it might be.

“Sydnee we are so worried, myself and nanny need to know you’re ok darling so please let someone know.”

Sydnee is described as 5ft 7ins, of slim build with long brown hair.

The teenager is known to have connections with Kingston, Surrey and the Thames Valley area.

She was last seen wearing a black sleeveless jacket, denim top and jogging bottoms.

Sydnee may be at risk of harm and anyone with information should contact police immediately.

Anyone with information should phone 101 and quote CAD 5583/18Jan. You can also contact the Missing People charity in confidence.
