Miss Millie's has announced it will be launching a new vegan range across its chicken shops in the UK. Its 'Veganista Burger' marks the arrival of its first-ever meat-free range, introduced to "meet the customers' demands".
The fried chicken brand, which started in Bristol back in 1988, is marking World Vegan Day on November 1 by launching a plant-based burger across all its stores. The company currently has 11 branches across Bristol, London and Southampton.
A stand-alone burger will be priced at £4.99 and a meal - including fries, a burger and a drink - will be £6.99.

Speaking to BristolLive, Miss Millie's confirmed: "We have launched our vegan range to meet the demands of our customers, and being a Bristol-based company we understand how relevant this is."
In a statement, a spokesperson added: "At Miss Millie’s we are delighted to be able to welcome new and existing customers to enjoy the Veganista burger which is 100 per cent vegan. Unlike some other brands, Miss Millie’s customers can also ‘make it a meal’ in the knowledge that our fries are also produced in a vegan safe environment."
There is also the option of plant-based vegan nuggets and side items. They added that they hope both their vegan and flexitarian customers will enjoy the new meat-free additions to the menu.
Miss Millie’s has worked alongside TiNDLE to produce the new menu item. TiNDLE is a plant-based alternative to chicken and uses a fraction of the land, water and energy normally required. "So we are doing our bit for the planet too," Miss Millie's added.
Last month, Bristol's answer to KFC signed a deal to expand the Miss Millie’s empire across the rest of the UK. It will grow to at least ten new places in the South East of England, including in London, heralding a transformational period for the firm.
