Leeds United fans have reacted after former left-back Ezgjan Alioski helped North Macedonia knock out Italy in the World Cup play-offs on Thursday night. Aleksandar Trajkovski's 92nd minute strike earned a memorable 1-0 victory for Igor Angelovski's side in Palermo to book a one-game showdown with Portugal.
It was a dramatic evening as Italy had 32 shots but failed to really test Stole Dimitrievski in net, while North Macedonia looked a real threat on the break. The defensive gameplan worked to perfection and Alioski played a major role in their win. They will now face Portugal on Sunday to determine who qualifies for this year's World Cup in Qatar.
And Leeds United supporters have been discussing Alioski's success on Twitter and are delighted to see him knock out Euro 2020 winners Italy. Here is what some had to say on social media.
