TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's mother YS Vijayamma's car tyres burst all of a sudden but the alertness of the driver averted what could otherwise have been a major mishap.
The incident was reported on the Gooty Road in the outskirts of Kurnool on Thursday.
According to information, Vijayamma who happened to be the honorary president of the YSR Congress Party was returning to Hyderabad after attending a wedding at Anantapur on Thursday.
When her vehicle reached the outskirts of Kurnool, two tyres of her car suddenly burst and got punctured.
However, Vijayamma who was unhurt in the incident, was shifted to the police battalion guest house in Kurnool for a brief while until the damaged tyres were replaced with the new ones.
Vijayamma visited her husband YS Rajasekhar Reddy's childhood friend Ayyapa Reddy for a brief while before being escorted back to Hyderabad by the Kurnool IV town police on Thursday.
