  • During the broadcast, Margolyes mistakenly speculated about Peters' parents' race and used outdated language, leading producers to express concern in the host's earpiece during the live segment.
  • Broadcaster ITV subsequently edited the controversial conversation out of the broadcast before uploading the episode to its catch-up streaming service, ITVX.
  • The incident follows Margolyes' past expression of regret over a similar chat show moment, where she asked the late Friends star Matthew Perry about his alcoholism on The Graham Norton Show .
