NEW DELHI: Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu on Saturday expressed disappointment after being unable to realise her dream of securing an Asian Games medal due to a thigh muscle injury sustained during the women's 49kg event in Hangzhou on Saturday.

The Olympic silver medalist said that she began experiencing pain during her warm-up before the event. Despite her coach advising her to withdraw from the competition, she opted to continue, driven by her desire to earn a medal for the nation.
