Coming out of the Cleveland Browns first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, injuries were prevalent starting with center Nick Harris going down for the year. Coming out of the second preseason game, things are a little different for the Browns.
While a lot of key players didn’t play in the game, only four of them didn’t play due to injury concerns:
- CB Greg Newsome II
- DE Isaiah Thomas
- DE Chase Winovich
- WR Michael Woods II
Newsome, Winovich and Woods all are dealing with hamstring issues while Thomas hurt his hand in practice.
Monday, HC Kevin Stefanski updated injury concerns coming out of the second preseason game and only minor ones popped up. “(CB) A.J. Green was cleared [from concussion protocol],” Stefanski said. “(WR) Daylen Baldwin is in the concussion protocol. (DT) Perrion (Winfrey) is working through a couple things, but he will be OK.”
Cleveland now moves on to what is expected to be a dress rehearsal third preseason game as they look to get ready for the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 and make final cuts to their roster.
