Minns launches $12b Hunter train tender ahead of looming election battle

NSW Premier Chris Minns wants train manufacturing to resume in the Hunter during the next term of government.

Mr Minns returned to Newcastle on Friday to announce the opening of the tender process for the Labor government's $12 billion plan to build the next generation of NSW trains at either the Broadmeadow Locomotive Depot or the former Glencore coal mine at Teralba.
