Minnesota has become the latest US state to launch legal action against TikTok, alleging the social media giant preys on young people with “addictive algorithms” that trap them into compulsive consumption of its short videos.
The lawsuit, filed in state court, accuses TikTok of violating Minnesota laws against deceptive trade practices and consumer fraud.
