Mining giant reveals deal to turn iron and steel green

More Western Australian minerals could be transformed into green iron and steel after one of the nation's largest mining firms signed a $35 million deal with a local technology company. 

Rio Tinto announced its agreement with Calix on Monday, revealing it would provide $8 million in cash as well as technical, engineering and material support to a green iron demonstration plant in the state's southwest.
