The Great British Seaside is returning to the Royal Albert Dock this summer.
The event is running up until September 4 and includes a programme of free family activities, seafood specials and souvenirs. The docks will be transformed into a seaside-themed attraction with giant deckchairs and bunting as part of a celebration of the very best of the British beach holiday.
The most-popular elements of a trip to the seaside will be available on the waterfront during the summer holidays. New for this year, children can enjoy a variety of fun events throughout August alongside the three multicolour beach huts at the Mermaid Courtyard.

Punch and Judy puppet shows will be taking place, with the modernised performances inspired by pantomime and adapted to suit the whole family. You can also get your portrait drawn by a caricature artist every Wednesday between 11am and 2pm, or unleash your creative side with hand and face painting every Thursday from 11am to 2pm.
Vintage-style theatre, Sol Cinema will be visiting the dock for the bank holiday weekend, offering the chance to attend a screening in the world's smallest picture house. You can also refuel with refreshments from the dock's restaurants, bars and food trucks.
Tate Liverpool is also running free, drop-in Create Your Tate sessions during the summer. The interactive events challenge visitors to use their imagination to design a new Tate Liverpool building using a range of creative materials.
