Croissants are the ultimate indulgent breakfast food. Flakey, buttery pastry, that can be combined with your topping of choice, what could be better? Mini air fryer croissants that are ready in just minutes, that's what.
Morrisons has shared the ultimate recipe to take your breakfast game to the next level, and you only need one ingredient – ready-made croissant dough or puff pastry, which can be bought from most supermarkets.
These can be made ahead of time, kept in an air-tight container or jar, and be used as an when you want them. Or pop them in the freezer so they last even longer.
Taking to TikTok, the supermarket shared a mouth-watering recipe which uses an air fryer, an appliance which has surged in popularity due to households wanting to cut down on energy bills.
In the video, a person can be seen cutting down the middle of the sheet of pastry and then cutting across the dough so make small strips.
Next, the person cuts diagonally across the small sections, from one corner to another – making small, long triangles.
Starting from the wider side, the person then rolls the dough to create a mini croissant shape. Then the mini croissants are brushed with an egg wash, before going into the air fryer for just eight minutes at 200 degrees.
Morrisons recommends to add this to yoghurt and add fruit so you can "upgrade your breakfast this week".
Foodies were loving the creativity in the comment section, with one person saying: "I made these a few weeks ago and they are so delicious and so cute."
Another said: "Omg so cute." Morrisons then replied saying: "They sure are. Will you be giving them a try?," to which the same person said: "YESSSSS".
