A man has admitted wounding someone with an iron candlestick holder. And a judge told him all sentencing options are open.
Timothy James, of Friday Street in Minehead, appeared before Bristol Crown Court today (May 30). He pleaded guilty to wounding Charles Cox with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on December 4 last year.
The 36-year-old denied attempting to murder Mr Cox and no evidence was offered on that charge. He also denied attempted GBH with intent and false imprisonment of Carly McCormack, and those charges were left to lie on file.

Sam Jones, defending, said of the wounding charge: "He recalls using an iron candlestick holder." Mr Jones said a psychiatric report would be available on his client, who is currently in the care of Fromeside Hospital in Bristol.
Judge William Hart told James: "Sentence will be on August 3. All sentencing options are open to that judge."
