When it comes to bookshelves, often the innards take centerstage. Horizontal or vertical arrangements and color-coordinated stacks can act as a focal point; however, being an editor here at H&G, I am just as intrigued by a bookshelf's facade as I am its containments.
A noteworthy bookshelf that I was struck by recently is none other than Mindy Kaling's. The Inside Out and The Mindy Project star keeps her books housed in a bold, cobalt blue shelving unit, which contrasts her marble fireplace and adds an unexpected burst of color to the space.
