Tropical Storm Milton has made its presence known in Florida this morning, with gusts of 40 to 55 mph pounding a large portion of the Keys. While the winds have not yet reached tropical storm-force levels in some areas, such as near Naples and Englewood, where gusts have been recorded just under 39 mph, residents are advised to stay vigilant.

Forecasters predict that Milton's winds will continue to impact more coastal areas in the coming hours and are expected to stretch further inland later this afternoon. The National Weather Service has issued warnings for potential hazards such as downed trees, power outages, and difficult travel conditions due to the strong winds.
