The son of Nottingham Forest owner Miltiadis Marinakis was at Ewood Park to see Steve Cooper's side claim a 2-0 win over promotion rivals Blackburn Rovers.
Goals from James Garner and Brennan Johnson sealed arguably Forest's best league win of the season.
Rovers' Darragh Lenihan was sent off early in the second-half, leaving the hosts with minimal chance of saving themselves.
The win saw the Reds climb up to sixth place and the promotion play-off places with their seventh away win of the season.
"It was a tough game but we deserved to win," Cooper said post-match.
"They were second in the league, have one of the top goal scorers, and they’re at home. We had to roll our sleeves up and deal with it and we did.
"It’s the first time we’ve beaten a team in the top three for two years and it was important to get over that.
"I liked our attitude and mentality - we were really together tonight.
"The fans were great again. I think they got deliberately tucked away in that upper tier but it didn’t stop them making an atmosphere."
Marinakis took to Twitter shortly before full-time to react to the support from the 1,952 travelling Reds fans.
"Hard-fought win and amazing support again. Let’s keep going! #NFFC," he said.
