England’s NHS is set to introduce a chickenpox vaccine from January, officials have announced, a move expected to safeguard children from severe complications and ease the burden on working parents.
The jab, which currently costs around £150 at private clinics and pharmacies, will be integrated into the childhood immunisation programme as part of a new combined MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella) vaccine.
