Military personnel could be drafted in to provide extra help after chaotic scenes on the first day of the Commonwealth Games.
The highly-anticipated event in Birmingham got underway with Thursday's opening ceremony, but there have been scanning problems and issues around stewarding which led to long queues after athletes began competing yesterday.
Members of the military are part of the Games delivery operation and were on duty at the opening ceremony at Alexander Stadium, but it's understood consideration is being given to ask them to offer further support than originally planned after some chaotic scenes on the first day of action.
