Ed Miliband has hailed the UK and US as the "closest of allies" following talks in Washington, where he was pressed on his past criticisms of Donald Trump.
The Foreign Secretary met with Marco Rubio at the US State Department, thanking him for a "warm, productive meeting" and emphasising the strong transatlantic ties, including their roles as Nato members.
