Milan designers recently concluded a six-day showcase of womenswear previews with a prestigious award ceremony at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, dedicated to recognizing advancements in sustainability within the fashion industry. The awards, initiated in 2017, aim to acknowledge eco-friendly innovations and improved brand communication regarding efforts to reduce carbon footprint.

Additionally, the Black Carpet Awards celebrated its second edition, honoring individuals of color residing and working in Italy to promote diversity and equity. Notable figures such as a shot-putter, an actor, an educator advocating for inclusive education, the founder of Black History Month Florence, and the creator of Italy's first curly haircare brand were among the honorees.

Several award recipients emphasized their Italian identity by delivering speeches in Italian, underscoring the importance of recognizing the talents of young Italians of foreign origin in a society that often marginalizes them.
