English League One side Fleetwood Town are offering injury-cursed Mikey Devlin the chance to win a deal.
The Scotland international will begin pre-season with the English League One side. Fleetwood boss Scott Brown knows Devlin from their shared time at Aberdeen and wants him to prove his fitness. Devlin has had a nightmare run with injuries and last made a top-team appearance back in 2020. The 28-year-old was given a deal by Aberdeen to recover from his injuries but suffered a couple of setbacks during that time and didn’t make a single appearance last season.
Devlin agreed to terminate his Aberdeen contract at the end of the season and is now hoping a fresh move will give him the luck he needs to get back playing. The former Hamilton defender is also keen to try his luck in England. Brown has already made one signing from Scotland in the shape of Shaun Rooney, who has come in from St Johnstone.
Devlin is eager to make the most of his chance south of the border after the former Derek McInnes signing couldn't break the injury curse.
But he now has a fresh chance to reignite a career that has been curtailed by a series of bad luck since his switch to the Granite City.
