Mikel Arteta urged to supply Gabriel Jesus with another transfer to enhance Arsenal's goal tally

Arsenal finally announced the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City on Monday morning. It was a deal that had been anticipated by supporters since he was first linked to the club before the end of the last season.

The Brazilian will likely lead the forward line for Arsenal next season, after being handed the number nine jersey. "Gabriel will wear the number 9 shirt and will join up with the Gunners squad for pre-season training soon," a club statement read. Technical director Edu made it no secret of his admiration for the player.

The Gunners had been crying out for a striker since last season’s January transfer window when previous captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had departed the club. However, Jesus’ signature finally spells an end to this need, and the fanbase have reacted to the Brazillian’s arrival.
