Arsenal have been the best team in the Premier League so far this season with a number of players stepping up their performances. Bukayo Saka has continued to be a key player for Arteta, whilst Gabriel Martinelli, Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey have all raised their games to prove their talents.
Mikel Arteta has been praised for his ability to develop talented youngsters into world-class players with Martin Odegaard standing out as the prime example. The Norwegian playmaker has arguably been the best midfielder in the division this season after being handed the club captaincy at the start of the campaign.
Odegaard has notched eight goals and provided a further six assists in 27 appearances so far this season and is now considered irreplaceable in Arteta's team. Kevin De Bruyne has set the standard in recent years at Manchester City with his goal scoring ability from midfield, paired with his immense playmaking quality and assist tally.

Arsenal are set to face City for the first time in the Premier League this season when Pep Guardiola's side travel to north London in what is one of the biggest games in the Gunners' history. Odegaard will need to be at his best to unlock City's defence and help the north London outfit pick up a crucial win to restore a health advantage at the top of the table over the reigning champions.
The Norway international is playing at the same level as David Silva did at City, Frank Lampard at Chelsea and De Bruyne at his best according to Bacary Sagna. Speaking to Premier League Odds, Sagna said: "Martin Odegaard is already playing at the same level as David Silva, Frank Lampard and Kevin De Bruyne did and are now.
"He can play for any big team in the world, he's been Arsenal's most consistent player. Odegaard reminds me of Kevin De Bruyne the most because they have the freedom to go forward and drop back to collect the ball, because their delivery is class, they find space and create chances for their teammates."
Odegaard can prove to many pundits and fans that he is now one of the best playmakers and goalscoring midfielders in the Premier League with a good performance against City.
