Arsenal make the arduous journey to Liverpool on Sunday ahead of what has not been a happy hunting ground for the Gunners. Mikel Arteta has prepared his side to respond to a disappointing 4-0 defeat last season at Anfield, hoping a victory can propel the team toward the title this time.
However, some question marks have been raised over a critical area of the Spaniard's squad. William Saliba suffered a back injury against Sporting CP in the Europa League and has no featured in the two Premier League games since.
Rob Holding has come in and helped back-to-back 4-1 wins over Crystal Palace and Leeds United. Yet the sterner test of Liverpool would have been much more comfortable had his French counterpart been available.

Mikel Arteta addressed the media ahead of the trip to Anfield. The Spaniard however remained coy on the latest news regarding Saliba's fitness but did hint the player might be one of two players who will train tomorrow.
"No no real changes with the rest of the players that were still injured," Arteta said. "We have some hope with one of them who will maybe be able to train but we'll see."
There are two players who have been out, one of them being Saliba, the other is Eddie Nketiah. Arteta said ahead of Leeds United that they would be 'pushing' the Frenchman all the time in the hope he might be available.
"Yeah, I’m very hopeful and he is as well. Back injuries are a bit tricky, how they evolve with the load in certain areas but he’s very positive about it, the medical staff are positive about it, so let’s push it every day a little bit and see how he copes with that and how the pain develops. He’s so willing to be back with the team."
