Mikel Arteta delivers honest verdict on Arsenal's Financial Fair Play situation amid UEFA worry

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has delivered an update on the club's Financial Fair Play situation.

Last summer the Gunners spent more than any other Premier League club, bringing in six first-team players for over £140 million combined. Technical director Edu has been extremely busy again this summer, splashing in excess of £110 million on five signings to help bolster Arteta's squad for the 2022/23 campaign.

This kind of spending combined with the lack of many transfer fees received for departing players has resulted in UEFA putting the north London club on their Financial Fair Play watchlist, according to The Times. However, Arteta has now downplayed talk of his side breaching any rules, claiming that the club's business during the remainder of the window won't be impacted by any FFP worries.
