Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that centre-back Ben White is still in contention for Sunday's clash against his former side Leeds United. White spent a season on-loan with Leeds and was instrumental in helping them climb back to the top flight of English football making 49 appearances during his time at Elland Road.
He moved back to parent club Brighton & Hove Albion for the 2020/21 campaign before sealing a move to Arsenal last summer. The 24-year-old missed Arsenal's last game against West Ham with a tight hamstring but could be fit to face off against Leeds on Sunday.
And it appears as though the Gunners have a relatively clean bill of health too, with Arteta providing a fitness update for White and the rest of the Arsenal squad at his Friday afternoon presser.

"Ben White is still in contention," said Arteta. "He needs to train tomorrow. For the rest, no news. Everyone should be ok."
Leeds' clash against Arsenal could have a significant impact on both ends of the Premier League table.
Jesse Marsch's side sit 17th in the league, two points ahead of Everton in 18th. However, the Toffees have a game in hand on Leeds and still have to play Watford away, who have the worst home record in the league.
A result on Sunday would be a massive result for the Whites, who look to have the toughest run out of themselves, Burnley and Everton, the three teams vying to avoid the final relegation spot.
Conversely, a result for Arsenal could see them strengthen their grip on fourth place as their closest rivals Spurs must play Liverpool this weekend. And Arteta is hoping to see a better performance with the ball than their last game against West Ham United which they won 2-1.
"Hopefully we can play better with the ball than what we did," added Arteta. "It’s true that we did a lot of good things in that game to earn the right to win it. Every game has different demands."
