Santi Cazorla will likely be remembered as the Spanish magician who kept everything ticking in the Arsenal midfield for a number of seasons along with his unbelievable ability with both feet. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta got the privilege of playing alongside Cazorla and now he has the opportunity to sign his very own Spanish talent.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler has emerged as a potential transfer target for Arsenal despite only joining the French club a few months ago. The 25-year-old has struggled for opportunities in a packed PSG midfield which may prompt a very early exit from France.
Soler joined in September for a bargain price of just under £20million with add-ons included because of his contract with Valencia which was set to expire in the summer of 2023.

While there are obvious differences between Soler and Cazorla , they do share a similar attribute regarding their ability to score goals from midfield. This fact has been highlighted by Soler having two goals from seven appearances for PSG and getting on the scoresheet at the World Cup for Spain in their opening game 7-0 thumping over Costa Rica.
Cazorla scored 29 Arsenal goals from 180 appearances and while injuries eventually prevented him from featuring prominently in his final few seasons in north London, he is still playing football in Qatar with Al Sadd SC and has not ruled out an eventual return to Arsenal praising his former captain Arteta for his managerial abilities.
Arteta and Cazorla remain close to this day and the Gunners boss could be tempted by a move for a player in the mould of Cazorla. French podcast France Bleu Paris have claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing the 25-year-old after there was keen interest from north London in Soler back in 2020 when he was at Valencia.
Soler could certainly provide a spark in the Gunners midfield and would give them much-needed depth in the position, however Arsenal's long-term targets of Danilo and Youri Tielemans are also linked with a move to Emirates Stadium and Arsenal are unlikely to sign all three.
