Arsenal are facing a huge transfer window this summer that could offer them a chance to close the gap on Manchester City, while staying competitive in other competitions. The addition of Champions League football is a welcome boost to the Gunners, especially when it comes to finances.
However, there will still have to be some shrewd decisions made in the market, ensuring they don't stray too far from what has seen them rebuild to the place they've reached. It'll mean that for some, ruthless decisions over exits will have to be made to keep the balance of the squad.
For others, they may be pushed to other roles to facilitate the inclusion of new players to fulfil a specific duty in mind for the manager. With that in mind, there will be some key decisions to be made, one of which is surrounding Hale End academy graduate Reiss Nelson.

The youngster, while rarely featuring, has had an impact on the side this season, often starting in the cup competitions, but also scoring crucial goals against Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest. With his contract dwindling and reports around the rejection of a first offer, there's uncertainty over his future.
The alternative to losing Nelson would be to spend millions in the market for a player that is likely to be competing with Bukayo Saka for minutes. With the need for other positions to be addressed, the funds would be better spent elsewhere, making a contract renewal key.
There's another decision to make over Emile Smith Rowe, who has had a difficult campaign after impressing last season. The youngster has dealt with injury issues disrupting the first half of the season, while the second has seen him kept out the side by the form of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
With rumours over a potential exit, it may be best to give the winger an uninterrupted pre-season to return to full fitness before having a run in the team, drawing a line over last season. Overall, those two moves from Arteta could see Arsenal save millions in finding replacements in the market.
