Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has conceded the Gunners only have a limited amount of "resources" despite insisting just months ago the club could still attract "the best players in the world".
The Spaniard has overseen the departures of two huge names in Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during his relatively short reign at the Gunners' helm. The latter of which came at a crucial stage of last season - a decision some view as a defining factor in Arsenal's top-four failure.
Talisman Aubameyang left the club in dire form, but Arteta's decision not to replace him before the close of the January transfer window ensured Arsenal had just Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah as attacking options to call upon for the rest of the season.
