Months after Arsenal fans had their first glimpse of the Mikel Arteta imposter in FIFA 23, EA Sports has finally updated the Spaniard's appearance as well as another Gunners star.
When FIFA 23 was released back in October last year, Arsenal fans were left confused by the appearances given to their players and manager. Half of the squad looked nothing like themselves, with Arteta the pick of the crop and not resembling himself at all in FIFA 23.
In January, six players received appearance updates in-game, with the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Fabio Vieira all starting to finally look like themselves. After the update, EA were still persistently questioned over the appearance of some other members of the squad, but in the latest Title Update, Arteta and William Saliba both received appearance upgrades.

Arteta has had the biggest glow-up of the two, though that is more down to how bad his face scan was prior to the update. The Spaniard now looks the spitting image of himself, with his hair and beard spot on unlike before.
Considering EA has Arteta's face scan already from when he was a player, it was unbelievable how the manager looked so unrealistic in the first place. There's also a big difference in Saliba's new appearance, with the hair and facial structure both identical to how he looks in real life.
Despite a big number of Arsenal players receiving updates to their appearance over the course of FIFA 23 so far, there are still a few that need work on, showing how bad the squad was in the first place. Ben White still has a generic face in-game whilst Gabriel is bald, with the duo hopefully next in line for an upgrade.
In the latest FIFA 23 squad update, some Arsenal players received updates to their stats rather than their appearance. Martin Odegaard, Thomas Partey, Bukayo Saka and Smith Rowe all received minor upgrades, whilst Eddie Nketiah, Leandro Trossard, Kieran Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Vieira were all handed small downgrades.
