Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was quiet for over a week after he was fired on Jan. 9, but business is starting to pick up for him when it comes to head coach interviews.
After interviewing for the Los Angeles Chargers’ head coaching vacancy on Thursday, Vrabel is now set to have an in-person meeting for the Atlanta Falcons’ job on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.
If Vrabel wants the job, he’s going to have some stiff competition, to say the least.
His former head coach with the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick, has not only gotten a second interview for the Falcons job, he’s also considered the team’s top candidate.
In addition, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has interviewed for the gig, and he’s a candidate for the same Chargers job Vrabel is vying for.
If hired by Atlanta, Vrabel would be taking the job previously held by his former offensive coordinator, Arthur Smith, who was fired following the 2023 campaign.
