Things just keep getting worse and worse for the Tennessee Titans, who dropped their second straight game in Week 6, losing to the Baltimore Ravens, 24-16.
Not only are the Titans in the midst of their first losing streak of 2023, you have defensive lineman and team captain Jeffery Simmons questioning the effort of his teammates and head coach Mike Vrabel unsure if some of Tennessee’s issues — of which there are many — are actually fixable.
When asked if he thinks it’s possible that some of the team’s problems simply aren’t correctable, Vrabel responded with “probably” and “maybe.”
“We’ll see,” Vrabel added, per Paul Kuharsky. “I’m not going to stop trying, not going to stop trying to prepare them and teach them the fundamentals and execution. There will be some good plays in there and certainly ones we have to eliminate that are getting us beat.”
A damning admission from Mike Vrabel but bravo for the candor. #Titans pic.twitter.com/Nwhay1X05p

As we covered in a separate article, here’s Simmons’ quote questioning the effort of some of his teammates:
“We need to figure something out,” Simmons said, per Paul Kuharsky. “We need to figure out the guys who are going to fight and figure out the guys who want to be out there, not the guys that don’t want to be out there.
“That’s what it needs to be. We need to reevaluate our team and figure it out. That’s the message: let’s figure it out who wants to play football for the Titans.”
Those are some damning admissions from two very important Titans and only make Tennessee’s outlook bleaker. Based on Vrabel’s and Simmons’ comments, I’d expect some changes coming out of the bye.
