Mike Tyson promises to "come straight at" Jake Paul in proposed comeback fight

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has promised to "come straight at" YouTube star Jake Paul if the pair meet in the ring.

Paul, who has competed at 192lbs for his fights, said he would be willing to bulk up to heavyweight by eating "Krispy Kreme doughnuts" for a fight with Tyson, which he thinks could be worth up to $300million. Both Jake and his brother Logan have been linked with big-money fights against 'Iron Mike'.

Tyson has insisted he knows nothing about a fight with Jake, but speaking recently on his podcast ' Hotboxin ' the 55-year-old issued a warning to both Paul brothers ahead of potential fights. "I'll beat their f***ing ass, I'm coming straight at 'em," he said.

"I'm not going to underestimate them either but I'm going to be in shape, that's the thing you've got to do is be in shape. I think 30 days of boxing I could fight anybody, 30 days of boxing every day. If I'm boxing every day in the gym I don't have to worry about my diet, I'll eat whatever I want."

Tyson is a big fan of both Paul brothers and previously he said could never knockout Jake in a fight because his family loves the YouTube star too much. He praised the 25-year-old for bringing a new audience to boxing since devoting himself to the sport last year.

Paul is undefeated in four professional fights and is planning a return to the ring in August. 'The Problem Child' won three fights last year, knocking out MMA veteran Ben Askren and beating ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley twice.

"He's all over the place, I saw him in St Barts. I love the fact that he [grabbed people's attention in fighting]," Tyson continued. "Everybody says 'really Mike?' but they don't understand, boxing needs that.

"At this stage in boxing the greatest fighters are not fighting each other so boxing needs a guy like this. When Jake Paul fights he brings 75million people to the box office, not to the arena, but to the box office. He's a baller."

Tyson returned to the ring for the first time in 15 years in 2020 when he fought fellow ring legend Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition fight. The fight, in which Paul was co-main event against Nate Robinson, broke into the top-10 for highest-selling pay-per-view events in history.
