Mike Tindall's I'm A Celebrity 'rant' on politics sees him 'break' royal protocol

Mike Tindall has probably 'gone against royal protocol' by talking about politics on I'm A Celebrity. Members of the royal family are supposed to keep quiet about the subject.

Rugby internnational Mike the husband of the Queen's granddaughter and Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Phillips. As soon as his name was linked to the new series of I'm A Celebrity, eyebrows were raised at Mike's potential involvement in the show, while it was reported that ITV bosses were rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of him talking about the royals round the campfire.

It is widely known that the royal family is expected to remain 'neutral' about politics and which party they favour, in an attempt to appear impartial and now be seen to be trying to sway public opinion, so it came as something of a surprise that Mike, while not a blood royal, was so vocal with his opinions during a chat with campmate Seann Walsh which aired on Tuesday's I'm A Celebrity.
