Boy, 13, shot in Portage Park

A teen was in good condition after being shot in his leg on Montrose Avenue Monday.

A 13-year-old boy was shot and wounded Monday evening in Portage Park, according to Chicago police.

The teen was outside at 8 p.m. in the 6000 block of West Montrose Avenue when a dark-colored SUV drove by and someone inside shot the boy in his leg, police said in a written statement.

Paramedics took him to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

Police reported no arrests.
