Burnley caretaker manager Mike Jackson reckons experience is just one of the factors helping the Clarets turn around their season as they climbed above Leeds in the race for Premier League survival.
Down 1-0 in the 83rd minute against Watford, Burnley managed to score two quick fire goals through midfielders Jack Cork and Josh Brownhill to help secure Jackson's side a dramatic 2-1 win away from home. The win was Burnley's third win on the bounce under Jackson, who has masterminded an incredible turnaround in the Clarets fortunes since he took over for Sean Dyche in mid-April.
Under Jackson, Burnley have picked up a 10 points from 12 possible, climbing above Leeds United in the process. Burnley have four games left this season, facing off against Aston Villa twice, Spurs and Newcastle. They currently sit on 34 points, with one more win likely to see them safe.

And speaking following their 2-1 win over Watford, which all but relegated the Hornets, Jackson believes the experience within the Burnley squad has helped them to turnaround their fortunes.
“It is a great result for us, it wasn’t our best performance,” Jackson said. “We didn’t start the game well enough and I think the group knew that and we had to raise it in the second half and they responded really well. The games are that emotionally charged at the moment that I don’t think you are going to get silky games of football, it is about finding a way of winning.
“I think they know (nothing achieved). It was enjoy today and tonight but then be ready to go again next week and nothing changes. They are an experienced enough group to know what is at stake and the focus is on the next game.”
