New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had his best game of the season on Sunday afternoon against the Buffalo Bills, and his teammates have nothing but good things to say about him.
Jones went 25-of-30 on the afternoon, throwing for 272 yards and two touchdowns. His 126.7 quarterback rating was his highest of the season.
Tight end Mike Gesicki caught the game-winning touchdown pass from Jones on the final drive of the game. Gesicki caught only two passes for five yards, but he made both of them count.
He defended his quarterback in the postgame press conference afterwards. The signal caller has received a fair share of criticism for his up-and-down play. It’s something the tight end disagrees with.
“I don’t think, you know, a lot of the talk and stuff that happens with him is fair,” said Gesicki. “Honestly, I think he’s done an unbelievable job kind of blocking all that out. And I think he’s done an unbelievable job internally leading us throughout all that adversity.”

This could be a turning point for the quarterback, as he looks to regain his footing in a season that has been difficult for the team as a whole. It’s clear that Jones has not lost the locker room, as New England looks to climb back into the thick of things in the AFC East.
