Mike Evans turned heads on Monday night when he somehow reeled in a sensational catch on a high throw from Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Running a post route across the center of the field, Evans leaped high into the air and hauled in the throw from Mayfield with his right hand. He managed to hold onto the ball while sustaining a hit from Eagles safety Reed Blankenship that flipped the wide receiver’s body upside down.
The highlight-reel catch was Evans’s second reception of the drive, and he added a third on a touchdown grab for Tampa’s first trip to the end zone of the game. His catch left the NFL world in awe, as fans took to social media to express their disbelief over his one-handed grab.
