
Mikaela Shiffrin, the renowned American skiing star, is making strides in her recovery journey after sustaining a deep puncture wound in her hip area over a month ago. The injury occurred during a crash on November 30 in Killington, Vermont, as she was nearing the end of her second run in the giant slalom event while pursuing her 100th World Cup win. Shiffrin lost control, collided with a gate, and tumbled head over skis, leading to the serious injury.
Following the incident, Shiffrin underwent abdominal surgery in mid-December to address the puncture wound. In a recent update shared on Instagram, she expressed her excitement about the progress she has been making in her recovery. Shiffrin mentioned that she is now able to move, exercise, and engage in physical activities, marking a significant step forward in her rehabilitation process.
