Newcastle United supporters hailed Miguel Almiron after his match-winning performance at Craven Cottage. The Magpies coasted to their second win of the campaign to brush aside 10-man Fulham 4-1 and move up to seventh in the Premier League.
Nathaniel Chalobah’s early red card set the tone of the game as Newcastle capitalised on the one-man advantage to dominate from start to finish. Callum Wilson opened the scoring shortly after on his return from injury but it was Almiron who stole the show - bagging the second and fourth to complete the rout.
Sean Longstaff was the other Toon goalscorer as he got his account up and running for the season. Man of the match Almiron was denied a hat-trick midway through the second half as a cool third was ruled out for offside.
