Midlothian taxi fares set to increase for first time in six years under new proposals

Midlothian

Taxi fares in Midlothian could rise by up to 20% as councillors are asked to consider the first increase in rates for six years.

New tariffs proposed following talks between Midlothian Council and taxi operators include a festive starting rate of £4.50 and the standard daytime starting rate increasing to £3.
