Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions were able to hold off Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams, 24-23, on Sunday night, giving the franchise its first playoff win in a whopping 32 years.
Goff and Stafford, of course, were traded for each other a few years ago, which gave this NFC playoff matchup one the more juicy storylines of the first weekend of the postseason.
The two quarterbacks were able to meet up on the field shortly after the final whistle and shared a special moment, with mics picking up Stafford saying to Goff, “I appreciate you, brother.”
