Those advancements include Real-Time Intelligence in the Microsoft Fabric platform. This feature allows users to act on high-volume, time-sensitive and highly granular data to make faster and more informed business decisions.

Microsoft also introduced the first set of extensions to its AI-based software development tool GitHub Copilot. The company said GitHub Copilot now has 1.8 million paid subscribers.

Plus, Microsoft said it is bringing the latest large language model from partner OpenAI to its users. That model, GPT-4o, integrates text, image and audio processing for generative and conversational AI experiences.
