Microsoft Corp-MSFT stock price on Monday jumped after the tech giant is reportedly offering buyouts to around 60,000 employees. The company said it was a time-limited, voluntary program and built on insights gained from a previous voluntary retirement program. Microsoft previously cut nearly 5,000 jobs in July that heavily targeted its Xbox gaming division. Microsoft Corp stock price has jumped 1.08 per cent at Nasdaq to USD 530.
"The Voluntary Exit Offer reflects an important part of how we’re evolving our approach to change: creating greater flexibility and, where possible, more ways for employees to shape their next chapter," Amy Coleman, an executive vice president and chief people officer, told employees in a memo.
