Tom Aspinall has never been more right than when he said after UFC 304 facing the winner of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic is his only option.
Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) became just the third fighter in UFC history to have to defend an interim belt Saturday when he blew through Curtis Blaydes (18-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) just 60 seconds into their heavyweight co-main event at Co-op Live in Manchester, England. Now it’s only right for him to unify.
UFC CEO Dana White said he’s confident Aspinall will fight the winner of Jones vs. Miocic, who are expected to meet for Jones’ heavyweight belt at UFC 309 on Nov. 9 in New York. Whether that will actually happen, however, remains to be seen.
Are there any other options on the table for him, though? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on Aspinall’s future after UFC 304.
