The UFC’s first pay-per-view event in Singapore went down Saturday with UFC 275, and the two championship fights at the top of the bill saw one title change and one title defense.
In the main event, Jiri Prochazka (29-3-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) outlasted Glover Teixeira (33-8 MMA, 16-6 UFC) in a Fight of the Year candidate to score a fifth-round submission and win the light heavyweight championship. The co-headliner, meanwhile, saw Valentina Shevchenko (23-3 MMA, 12-2 UFC) edge Taila Santos (19-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) in a razor-thin split decision to defend her women’s flyweight strap for the fifth time.
