It was a tough day, and a tough match-up, for MSU women’s basketball, who fell to a strong Nebraska team in the Quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
For the second time this season, the Spartans were outmatched by the Cornhuskers, as Michigan State fell to Nebraska 73 to 61.
Alexis Markowski led the way for Nebraska, dropping 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists as the Cornhuskers dominated MSU on the boards, outrebounding the Spartans 44 to 30.
Michigan State, a team who has become known for their offense, struggled to get anything going today with the exception of Julia Ayrault, who scored 25.
